"funken" Typeface
"funken" is a typeface built from long-exposure photographs of a moving sparkler, traced into vectors on a grid. It's printed on acetate so light passes through, referencing how each letter was made.
Stacked sheets let the letterforms overlap, mimicking the layered trails of a long exposure. The name comes from the German word for sparks — a nod to Germany's early role in sparkler production.
